This not only applies to materialistic possessions but to every other aspect of life. Just to elaborate....try and say to some parent that his/her kid is not disciplined or smart, or say to a wife that her husband is lazy, or worst...walk up to a person and blame him/her for something he/she has not done.....all these are nothing but scratches or scars you are leaving behind on somebody. It does really hurt to see scratches on your beloved possession, including yourself.
